These are some of the comments we have had from our parents and visitors. If you would to contribute, please feel free to contact us.
I was a pupil at Layfield Primary School back in 1987 – 1993 so it was the first place that I thought of when our team wanted to do an Employee Volunteering Day.
I was over the moon when I learned that they would like our help to build a recycled greenhouse being a bit of a veg garden buff myself!
The day went brilliantly and the staff and children really made the day special for us. The whole team have commented on how lovely the school was and how welcome we were made. I’m sure that this will continue to be a long lasting relationship.
Looking forward to coming back!!!Rachael Stokes (Barclaycard)
Our son loves attending Layfield Primary as he feels tasks are explained clearly in lessons, he’s built great friendships and always leaves for school with bounding enthusiasm. We find the staff really approachable particularly because they greet the pupils individually each morning, the headteacher is very personable and the afterschool activities (particularly the Zenith activities) are excellent. The sense of community that revolves around the school, and the contribution that the school makes to the wider community is very significant.Dr Robin Harrison PhD BMus (Hons)/GradRNCM FNCM ARCO LTCL DipLCM PGCE(QTS)
As a mum of three my first thought when we found we were moving home was the worry of my children in a new school. After just a few weeks at Layfield i knew we’d made the right choice of school, my children are happier than they’ve ever been. The transition from their old school was dealt with easily and sensitively, and the welcome from both staff and pupils was warm and friendly. As a parent I feel Layfield school have always taken the time to communicate with me and have offered my children and myself all the support and help we need.
My husband and I always feel involved in our children’s education through the school, and enjoy the activities Layfield school plans which include parents. I am very happy in the knowledge that my children are not only getting a good standard of education, but are also in a secure, nurturing environment that will give their future school years the best start possible.M McCann
Dear Mrs Owen
I write to congratulate you on your recent Ofsted report. You must be very pleased with the comments and gradings contained within it. And be proud of all the achievements of the young people (not to mention your staff!) …
Our son started nursery in June this year and he absolutely loves it. He talks of the teachers and loves to teach us the songs he has been singing in nursery
With best wishes to you allNick Wills (06/11/11)

Dear Mrs Owen
Thank you so much to your choir for taking part in Yarm Methodist Church Annual Choir Festival. We really appreciate the support.
The choir performed superbly! Their enthusiasm, talent and enjoyment at performing really shone through! I am sure you are very proud of them! I would like to also say how impressed I was with their general behaviour and attitude when watching the other performers, they were plite, well behaved and really supportive of the other singers!
Thank you very much for helping to make an extremely enjoyable evening!
Well done performers!Stef (Youth Worker, Yarm Methodist Church)
