Professionally a chemical Engineer, having worked for more than 12 years in Production and Engineering roles for large multi-national companies. I have held a number of management positions and have experience of managing large projects, budgets and teams of people. I am also passionate about people development having worked to develop and improve Apprenticeship Programmes and also supported schools with STEM activities.

I’m a transport planner working for a local highway authority. I have experience working on a range of projects and work-streams, including being the lead on traffic management for the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race and the 2019 World Cycling Championships. I have experience working closely with a range of multi-agency partners and have also coordinated several successful funding bids to government.

Background (job or experience to bring to the Governing Body): As a Deputy Head teacher of a large, culturally diverse primary school, I am experienced in developing growing leaders and identifying talent. I am passionate about quality teaching and learning and enabling social mobility through using research led strategies to narrow key gaps in learning for disadvantaged pupils. As a mum of two young children, I am interested in how exceptional early years education can form the the basis for life-long learning.
